Festival field guide
Info & rules
Everything to know before arriving at Maial: entry, safety, camping and festival payments.
Entry & safety
Have your ticket and a valid identity document ready before screening.
- Enter only through marked gates with a valid ticket and, when requested, an original identity document. Tickets bought from unofficial sources, forged, damaged or already used may be refused.
- At every entry, security staff may inspect bags and conduct a preventive body search, while respecting the law and the person’s dignity. Screening is carried out solely for guest safety and compliance with the rules.
- Refusing ticket, identity, bag or wristband checks, or refusing a preventive body search, results in denied entry. A guest may choose not to enter before screening is carried out.
- If screening finds prohibited items that are not illegal, the guest may leave the screening area, store them outside the festival and later rejoin the queue. The organizer does not provide storage for these items.
- Items or substances whose possession is illegal will be reported to the competent authorities. The person concerned will be denied entry, and the authorities will determine the applicable measures.
- Minors must carry proof of age and follow the organizer’s published supervision and parental-consent conditions. Alcohol, tobacco and energy drinks are not sold to minors.
- Normal personal items, daily-dose medication and medical devices are allowed. A prescription or medical letter may be requested for special medication.
- Weapons, including legally held weapons, sharp or blunt objects, illegal substances, flammable or pyrotechnic materials, glass containers, lasers, drones and unaccredited professional recording equipment are prohibited.
- The organizer may deny entry to anyone who fails the admission conditions, presents non-compliant documents, attempts access fraud, has a missing, transferred or damaged wristband, carries prohibited items, is visibly intoxicated, or behaves aggressively or dangerously.
- Wristbands may be checked both at entry and anywhere inside the festival. Any defect noticed when receiving one must be reported immediately; later removal, transfer, loss or damage may cancel admission rights.
- Anyone who breaches the rules or the law, refuses staff instructions, causes incidents, violence, harassment or discrimination, or endangers others may be escorted from the site, have access cancelled and be reported to authorities where necessary.
- When denied entry or removal results from the guest’s own breach of the rules, the ticket, pass or invitation is not refunded and re-entry is not permitted.
- For safety, emergency, capacity or authority-requested reasons, entry may be temporarily stopped or restricted. Guests must follow staff instructions and marked evacuation routes.
- The entire festival site may be photographed and filmed by the organizer, authorized suppliers and accredited press for documentation, press, archive and promotion. Guests may appear incidentally in this material without compensation while retaining their legal rights. Performances may include loud sound, intense lighting and strobe effects.
Minor access
Admission conditions depend on the guest’s age on the day of attendance.
- Children under 14 enter free of charge and only while continuously accompanied by an adult with valid festival admission.
- Guests aged 14 and 15 need a ticket for the 14-18 category and an identity document, and must remain accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or an adult appointed by them.
- Guests aged 16 and 17 need a ticket for the 14-18 category and an original identity document. They may attend unaccompanied when presenting the completed Country Fest form signed by a parent or legal guardian.
- A separate form is required for each minor. When the accompanying adult is not the parent or legal guardian, that adult must be named in the form.
- For children under 14, proof of age and the accompanying adult’s ID must be presented. Minors aged 14 or older must present their own original identity document.
- Incomplete, unsigned, non-compliant or suspected fraudulent forms may result in denied entry. The signatory is responsible for the authenticity of the information and signature and, where applicable, for fulfilling the duty of supervision.
- Minors may not purchase or consume alcohol, tobacco products or energy drinks. Hearing protection is recommended for children.
Camping rules
The campsite is a separate, access-controlled area.
- Motorhomes and camper vans are allowed only in the designated area and must be positioned as directed by campsite staff. Vehicles may not move around the campsite except during authorized arrival and departure.
- Pitch tents only where directed by campsite staff. Keep access roads, emergency exits and technical areas clear.
- Propane / LPG tanks and cylinders installed in a motorhome or camper van may be used only through the vehicle’s fixed, approved and maintained system, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Containers must be secure, undamaged and leak-free.
- Campfires and all outdoor open flames are strictly prohibited. Outdoor grills, portable burners or stoves, gas containers left outside, fireworks, generators and improvised cooking or power systems are not allowed.
- Glass containers, weapons, illegal substances, drones, unauthorized vehicles in the campsite and high-powered sound systems are not allowed.
- Keep noise low at night, respect neighboring campers and use only designated toilets, showers and water points.
- Use the designated waste containers and leave your pitch clean. Damage to vegetation, fencing or facilities may be charged to the responsible person.
- Keep valuables with you. The organizer cannot provide individual security for tents and personal belongings.
